“Amazing boutique hotel”  -  April 17th, 2008

We chose the Heritage Suites Hotel as we wanted a plush place to stay for our honeymoon with a bit of character. We had an amazing time.

The staff were all extremely helpful and genuinely interested in us. The ethos of the hotel was great - you could eat anywhere at any time as the staff appreciated that you could be jetlagged and keeping unusual hours.

We booked a cottage type room and it was completely luxurious with a steam room, two showers (one inside and one outside in our private garden), an enormous bed and free standing bath. The only drawback to the room was that the chairs and sofa looked beautiful but were uncomfortable to sit on!

The pool was cooled and salt water and lookedlike a photo shoot for a posh travel magazine.

Altogether we had a five star experience which was fantastic value for money.

“Fantastic place!”  - February 26th, 2008

My boyfriend and I stayed in a suite here for two nights and absolutely loved it - I wish we could have stayed for longer!

The room was gorgeous - with a private garden, outdoor shower, steam room and big bath tub. The swimming pool area was also lovely and we had it to ourselves most of the time.

I thought the breakfasts were great, certainly the best I had on my travels through Vietnam and Cambodia! Food was more expensive than local restaurants but not badly priced compared to other 5* hotels.

Although the staff did not speak a lot of English they were very friendly and would do anything to help.

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone, it's the perfect place to come back and relax after exploring the temples.

“A perfect retreat”  -  February 25th, 2008

My husband and I just returned from Siem Reap where we stayed three nights at the Heritage Suites Hotel. We have stayed at some wonderful boutique hotels around the world, and this is now one of our favorites.

The hotel staff picked us up at the airport in a vintage Mercedes and provided cool, scented towels and fresh juices. We arrived on a Buddhist holiday, so we could hear the monks reciting their meditations/prayers that day. The hotel is situated across the street from a wat and a school, so it was a treat to see the children playing in the schoolyard when we left the hotel property.

We booked a deluxe room, but we were upgraded to a bungalow suite. We toured the deluxe room and it was very nice; we would have been quite happy there. But the bungalow had the "wow" factor with pod bath, indoor and outdoor showers, sauna, Zen design and a large glass doors opening to a private garden. Total privacy. We left the roman shades open at night so we could wake to the view of our garden in the morning.

The hotel is not in the middle of town and we liked it that way. It was great to come back to the serenity of this hotel and relax – away from the noise on bigger streets near the river, Pub Street and the center of town. It took only a few minutes by tuk-tuk to get to restaurants in the main part of town, but we chose to eat dinner at the hotel two out of three nights. We dined near the pool one night and upstairs in the main building another night. Both provided excellent food, service and ambience. We loved the "shrimp purses" appetizer and the Khmer dishes.

This hotel is a special place with wonderful staff and good management. I count myself lucky to have chosen this hotel over the others. It fit our preference for secluded, boutique hotels with great design and excellent service. We will definitely go back.

“Paradise at Heritage Suites Hotel”  -  January 27th, 2008

We've not long returned from a stay at Heritage Suites and wanted to outline how fantastic the entire experience was. The hotel is a small paradise within busy Siem Reap.We would go back at the drop of a hat!

It has extremely tasteful, beautiful rooms with exquisite surroundings / garden and lovely staff who go out of their way to provide excellent customer service endeavouring to meet your every need.

The manager, his wife and the Adventour tours team are extremely helpful, very engaging and responsive to needs.

Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and had its own large glass windows looking out onto a small beautiful garden with outside shower. Inside we had our personal steam room and bath tub along with walk-in shower and wardrobe all of which was beyond our expectations.

Breakfast is large, lovely, relaxing and served with attention to detail. All meals are delicious and ample.

The pool area is beautiful enhanced by the open fire at night so swiming is wonderful at night too.
The hotel is quiet with guests who fit easily into the extremely relaxing personal touch ambiance of the hotel.

We did two tours with Adventure team - sunset on the lake and a private boat tour (one way) to Battambang. Both are quite expensive but absolutely fantastic so if you can afford it both are well worth the money.

All in all we would highly recommend this hotel - excellent place and well worth the money.

“The Most Unique Hotel Experience”  - September 5th, 2007

My wife and I visited Thailand and Cambodia on our Honeymoon and stayed in all 5* hotels (i.e. The Peninsula in Bangkok) and this was hands down our favorite.

This hotel is a perfect alternative to the large commercialized resorts that pepper the entire town.

The stay started with the hotel picking us up at the airport and providing us with our choice among several fresh fruit juices, provided a cold towel to wash our faces and presented us with a traditional flowers. As we drove to the hotel they kindly pointed out some of the sights as we made our way through Siem Reap.

Once at the hotel, they provided a second welcome drink and moved all of our luggage to our room as we checked in. We were given a quick and informative briefing of the property and were then lead to our room.

The room was amazing. As we were on our Honeymoon, it was set up with rose petals in the shape of a heart on our bed, the bathtub was also full of water and petals and the candles were lit for a romantic atmosphere. The room was designed in a way that provided instant relaxation. It included a private garden in the back and an outdoor shower. It was free of any modern electronics and just allowed you to relax.

After settling into our room, we arranged with the hotel for a driver and guide of Angkor Wat and the surrounding area. They did this quickly and provided a great driver/guide combination.

After the day touring the sights, we came back to the oasis of our hotel and had an amazing private dinner next to the pool. There was a great selection of Khmer, French and other international cuisines available. The prices were more than reasonable. Since it was after dark, the hotel lit a fire pit that is attached to the pool.

The next morning we awoke and traveled to Angkor Wat to watch the sunrise. This day we had the hotel's driver take us and he was more than accommodating. After returning to the hotel, we enjoyed the breakfast that is included with any stay. It was a feast. I chose the pancake breakfast (it was the best pancake I have ever eaten outside of the US). My wife had the egg breakfast.

After breakfast we enjoyed a nice morning at the pool. The pool is a saltwater pool that they cool down during the day to keep it refreshing. It is crystal clear water and they have plenty of lounge chairs.

All in all this was an amazing boutique hotel. All request were handled quickly and professionally. The staff is top notch and easy to communicate with. I would recommend this hotel as a truly special place to stay when visiting Siem Reap.
